Equipment Purchase Request

1. The above workflow provides a high-level summary of the process for requesting the purchase of ionizing radiation equipment.
2. Depending on the type of ionizing radiation produced by the equipment, the purchase review will be approved by either the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and/or Institutional Radiation Safety Committee (IRSC) as detailed below:



3. Other departments such as LEM will also be involved in the request for new equipment. When the equipment value is more than $20K, the Academic Space, Equipment and Planning Committee (ASEPC) will also be part of the review.
