Training

The IBEC oversees Safety training for individuals working with potential biohazards and Ethics Training for individuals working with human subjects, or human derived data or materials.See more details about training procedures and requirements.

Are you working with human subject or human derived data or materials?

If so, you must complete the course “Human Subject and BioEthics Training” available at the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) system before you start working with human subjects or human sample/data.

  • This training is necessary to protect the privacy and rights of research participants.
  • The training must be renewed every three years.
  • Visitor without a KAUST email address can access CITI with their personal emails, but are encouraged to change to their KAUST email at the first available opportunity.
  • Guideline to register on the CITI website.
